All external assessments, which make up the full AQA A level Business course, will take place in the summer of Year 13
100% Exam
Paper 1 – 15 multiple choice questions, short answer questions (varying in length between 2-9 marks) and a choice of 2 essay questions worth 25 marks each
Paper 2 – 3 business case studies, each followed by data response compulsory questions
Paper 3 – 1 business case study followed by approximately 6 compulsory questions
What can I do with this subject?
For any chosen career path, it is vital to have an understanding of how different businesses operate internally and how the external environment can impact firms directly. The skills you will learn on this course, such as team working, problem solving and decision making will, therefore, be directly transferable to the workplace and university courses. Business is a versatile and flexible subject that can be combined with a wide range of other subject areas at A level, particularly Mathematics, English and Humanities.
Specific entry requirements for this course
Students must achieve a grade 6 at GCSE Business (or grade 5 English if GCSE Business has not been previously studied).
