UCAS Advice and Guidance

Every student will have sessions which will deliver guidance and taught elements on UCAS, applying to university, a programme of internal and external speakers on university applications, apprenticeships and other issues through the tutor programme.

The UCAS procedure will be managed by the Sixth Form Leadership Team, supported by tutors. Outside speakers on topics such as medical applications etc will be invited to speak to students.  Support will be given to students entering the UCAT, LNAT and other tests through our Enrichment Electives as well has hosting events such as the Careers and University fairs.  For year 12 the UCAS cycle will start with a ‘Parent and Student Information Evening’ in the Spring term with the programme of taught sessions beginning before Easter.  Most of the UCAS sessions, trips and speakers will take place in the summer term. The application process itself begins in September of Year 13.
