UCAS Advice and Guidance
Every student will have timetabled sessions which will deliver guidance and taught elements on UCAS, applying to University, a programme of internal and external speakers on University applications, apprenticeships and other issues.
The UCAS procedure will be managed by Mr Flood, supported by tutors and a select team of staff. Outside speakers on topics such as medical applications etc will be invited to speak to students. Support will be given to students entering the UKCAT and other tests and we will be visiting the most local UCAS Higher Education (HE) convention. For year 12 the UCAS cycle will start with a Parent and Student Information Evening in March with the programme of taught sessions beginning before Easter. Most of the UCAS sessions, trips and speakers will take place in the summer term. The application process itself begins in September of year 13. Further details about UCAS can be found on student resources drive on the Academy intranet.
Students here are supported through out Sixth Form via Unifrog as they pursue their next destinations. Whether their next steps are university; apprenticeships; or employment, all research can be conducted thorough this easy to use tool.
