Examinations Officer

For September 2020 (or sooner) we are looking to recruit an Examinations Officer. This is an interesting and varied role requiring outstanding organisational skills. You will be working closely with a senior member of the Leadership Team. The core purpose of this role is to administer all Academy examinations – both internal and external.

College Leader (Deputy Head)

    • We seek to appoint an outstanding, highly motivated leader to join a dynamic and forward thinking leadership team. This opportunity has arisen due to the growing numbers of students on roll and the need to provide additional capacity for the leadership team.

The opportunity to be a college leader at Tudor Grange Academy Solihull is an exciting one. This senior role within the Academy presents the opportunity for a leader to develop their leadership skills in preparation for future leadership positions, including across Tudor Grange Academies Trust or as the leader of a school.

College Leaders are responsible for the achievement and pastoral care of approx. 200 students within their college, as well as line management of subject areas. In addition, the college leader will hold strategic responsibilities across the Academy (such as personal development, curriculum, assessment, quality assurance, quality first teaching, disadvantaged students). Specific responsibilities will be determined following the appointment of the successful candidate. Appointing a leader who believes in the culture of the Academy, whilst showing the right leadership skills and personal values is most important.

The successful candidate would play a vital role in ensuring that we maintain exceptional outcomes for students at the Academy, whilst also ensuring that students are happy and well cared for. In addition, the ability to establish excellent working relationships with staff, students and parents is a priority.

The chosen candidate will need to:
• Be an excellent classroom practitioner
• Have the ability to lead, motivate and inspire staff and students
• Have a drive for continuing professional development
• Have experience of managing change and development
• Have high expectations of all students
• Be committed to continuous improvement and engage in research

Curriculum Leader of Art

    • We seek to appoint an inspiring leader who is able to continue to develop already flourishing Art department. The successful candidate must be an excellent practitioner and be able to model the high standards they expect from both staff and students. This role will require someone who has a clear vision for the department, to include curriculum design, art subject specific pedagogy and a vision for how art can influence across the entire school community.

The Curriculum Leader of Art will have line management responsibility for a team of colleagues including a dedicated technician. Clarity of communication, effective coaching, emotional intelligence and the ability to build effective relationships are essential.

The department has excellent facilities and we are incredibly proud of the broad, ambitious and equitable curriculum that is provided for our students. We have large numbers of students who choose to take Art or Photography at key stage 4 and 5 so the successful candidate should demonstrate a track record of delivering outstanding examination outcomes in their own classroom as well as supporting others to do the same.

Teacher of PE (Girls)

A well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher of girls PE is required to join a talented department with a strong sporting tradition and a high profile locally.
The successful candidate must be able to teach across the full range of sporting activities as well as GCSE PE and A level Physical Education. The department has emerged as a lead department in a very high performing academy due to a relentless focus on excellent PE pedagogy. We are seeking a teacher who shares this drive for quality first teaching and who has a genuine appetite for CPD.
A full commitment to our vast wider curriculum programme is expected, with clubs before and after school. The department feel strongly about providing students with exposure to elite sport and adventurous activities, so the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a calendar of offsite visits.
The specific responsibilities will be determined according to the strengths of the successful candidate.

Teacher of MFL

An enthusiastic, dynamic and creative teacher of MFL (French, German or Spanish) is required to join an ambitious and progressive department. Local Area

Solihull is the home of designer-brand shopping, idyllic rural villages, fine dining, fabulous hotels and home to the National Exhibition Centre and Genting Arena, which hosts an array of spectacular live events.

Still quaint, the town is dotted with historic architecture including timber-framed Tudor houses and shops and nearly three-quarters of the borough is defined as Green Belt. Add to that Solihull is surrounded by picturesque countryside.

Birmingham Airport is just 10 minutes away and Birmingham International station and Solihull station both provide excellent transport links across the country.
