Teacher of Maths

We require a talented, enthusiastic and outstanding teacher of mathematics. The maths department is very much a team; they are dynamic, forward looking and ambitious, setting themselves high targets for development and achievement for the forthcoming years, within a very supportive and reflective atmosphere. Our GCSE results have been consistently outstanding for many years and we have continued this success with the A-Level results of our sixth form. The department is committed to improving learning through research including metacognition, mastery and mixed attainment teaching. We have recently been recognised for our work in these areas by the DfE and have been designated as a maths hub. Consequently, we are looking to expand our capacity as a high performing maths department.

Teacher of STEM, IT and Computer Science

Start date: September 2020 (or sooner if possible)
Contract type: Full Time

An enthusiastic, dynamic and creative teacher of IT and Computer Science, with a passion for STEM and with curriculum leadership aspirations, is required for September 2020 to join an ambitious and progressive department. Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and NQTs, with an ability to deliver Computer Science from key stages 3 to 5.
Additionally, you will benefit from:

    • Working in a subject area with a track record of exceptional outcomes (64.5% of students achieved a grade 7 or above in the GCSE Computer Science 9-1 qualification in 2019, whilst 100% of students achieved grades A*-B in A level Computer Science)

Examinations Officer

Salary: Salary Range NJC Points 7-11: FTE Salary £19,554 – £21,166
Actual Salary: £17,817 – £19,285 per annum*
*Recruitment incentive available for an experienced candidate
Contract term: Permanent

For January 2020 we are looking to recruit an Examinations Officer. This is an interesting and varied role requiring outstanding organisational skills. You will be working closely with a senior member of the Leadership Team. The core purpose of this role is to administer all Academy examinations – both internal and external.

Sixth Form Cafe Supervisor

Contract type: Part Time 35 hours per week – Term time only (39 weeks per year)
7.30am – 2.30pm Mon – Fri
Contract term: Permanent
Salary: NJC Scale 2/Point 3 FTE £18,065 – Actual Salary £14,811

We are looking for an experienced caterer to supervise our busy café. In particular we would love to hear from someone who is not only dynamic and flexible, but also has the innovation to bring new ideas to and take ownership of this very busy Café outlet in our Academy. Experience in education or retail catering would be an advantage.

Local Area

Solihull is the home of designer-brand shopping, idyllic rural villages, fine dining, fabulous hotels and home to the National Exhibition Centre and Genting Arena, which hosts an array of spectacular live events.

Still quaint, the town is dotted with historic architecture including timber-framed Tudor houses and shops and nearly three-quarters of the borough is defined as Green Belt. Add to that Solihull is surrounded by picturesque countryside.

Birmingham Airport is just 10 minutes away and Birmingham International station and Solihull station both provide excellent transport links across the country.
