“Des has been struggling for over a year with mental health problems.  During ths time D of E has been a constant.  There have been days where she struggled to leave the house but has been able to help with a beaver colony as part of her volunteering and to learn to ski for her physical.  The recognition of the staff of the kindness of her expedition group is a demonstration of what I have seen in their interactions with each other, supporting each other through all the requirements.  It is a testament to their bond that the group has stayed together through their bronze award and on to silver.
