Today members of the eco committee and volunteers took part in the RSPB’s Great British Bird Watch. Students worked in groups across the TGAS site to tally the number of bird species seen in a one-hour period. In total students counted, 9 different species and 176 individuals. Overall pupils found the investigation insightful noting the lack of diverse species on our school site. “Miss, we have seen about 20 seagulls and a bazillion crows. Are you sure this is right?”. Pupils are now wondering how we can get more native birds to visit our school site.
