Students at Tudor Grange Academy once again secured their destinations of choice and are celebrating another set of outstanding A-level results. We are delighted with these outcomes and want to congratulate all our students for their efforts this year.

The 2023 cohort did not sit external examinations at GCSE level due to the Covid pandemic and has therefore shown great determination and commitment throughout their A-level studies. These students are now moving on to a wide range of exciting opportunities in world class universities and training providers alongside plans for the world of work. With 31% of grades at A*/A and 61% at A*-B, this maintains the excellent A-level performance of recent years and reinforces Tudor Grange sixth form as an outstanding provider of post-16 education.

Principal Claire Smith said: “We are so proud of these A-level results and the opportunities they help secure. With results nationally returning to pre-pandemic levels, we are delighted that students, who have faced enormous disruption over recent years, have secured their chosen destinations through hard work and dedication. These results set them up perfectly to move onto the next stage of their lives whether that be a university course, an apprenticeship or starting a job in the workplace. We are delighted with the results and want to congratulate both students and staff on the remarkable efforts they have made to achieve this success.”

Students will be moving far and wide as they take up their places at university in September. Notable achievements are Matthew (A*, A*, A*, A*) who will study General Engineering at the University of Sheffield, Arren (A*/A*/A*) who will study Mathematics at the University of Warwick, Salman (A*/A*/A*) who will study Human, Social, and Politics Sciences at the University of Cambridge and Alessandra (A*/A*/A*) who will study music at the Royal College of Music. Several students were also successful in their application to Medical Schools, following a rigorous application process involving interviews and supplementary examinations.

Director of sixth form, James Bargh, commented: “Competition for places is always extremely fierce at post-18 level, so I am delighted that our students leave us with the results they need and as fully rounded students ready to embrace the opportunities that are now open to them. We are all so pleased as the year group are wonderful and will go on to make positive contributions to the world – they are so deserving of the success they have achieved.”
