Sixth Form Enrolment 22/08/19

Tudor Grange Academy Students who met the application deadline

GCSE results will be available for collection from school from 10.00am to 11.30am on Thursday 22nd August.  In order to secure your sixth form place, it is necessary to meet the GCSE entry requirements specified in our admissions criteria

If a student is unable to collect their results in person, these may be collected by a nominated person who is over the age of 18 and has the student’s written permission (specifically naming the student) to collect on their behalf.  The nominated person must bring photographic identification with them.  For Tudor Grange Academy students, enrolment for sixth form will take place immediately after the students have received their results if they have met the entry criteria.  Senior leaders will be available to discuss any issues caused by the results and to offer help and guidance.

If your son/daughter wishes to alter their chosen subjects, they will need to attend the Academy on Friday 23rd August between 9.00am and 11.00am.  Any changes will depend on spaces still being available in subjects.  If you are going to be away on holiday on the 22nd August, it is essential that you contact us so that we know whether or not you wish to take up your offer of a place here.  Contact can be made by telephoning 0121 705 5100 or emailing

Please note that Early Years will be available in school from 10am until 3pm on Thursday 22nd August and from 9am until 11am on Friday 23rd August to enable enrolled students to order their uniform.  Payment must be made at the time of ordering by either cash or card (please see price list).

External applicants who met the application deadline

Once your GCSE results are available, if you have met the entry requirements in our admissions criteria and would like to take up you offer of a place in our sixth form, please attend Tudor Grange Academy between 1.30pm and 3.00pm on Thursday 22nd August.  It is essential that you bring your statement of results with you.   You will be asked to confirm your subject choices and your acceptance of your place.  If you wish to change subjects as a consequence of your results, staff will be available on that day to discuss alternative courses.  Whilst we will make every effort to ensure that all courses that have been offered will run, we do need to reserve the right to make changes to the curriculum due to operational considerations.

Late Applications

Once your GCSE results are available, if you would like to find out if we have any remaining availability in our sixth form, please contact the school office by telephoning 0121 705 5100 or emailing on Friday 23rd August.

Preparation for Sixth Form and Bridging Tasks:Making the change to sixth form is a challenge. On enrolment your son/daughter will be provided with information to enable them to complete some bridging tasks to help prepare them for their A level studies. For each subject your son/daughter will be given information on:

  • A series of tasks which they must complete.
  • A suggested reading/book list to help them with their independent study.

We would expect students to complete this work for the start of term.
